A local friend treated me to dinner, and the experience was enjoyable, featuring excellent escargot and clam chowder. While my rack of lamb was good, I felt it deserved four stars as I've had better elsewhere, but overall, the meal was satisfying with great service and a pleasant atmosphere.

I had a fantastic dinner with friends at a local spot recently. The escargot was superb, and my clam chowder starter was really good. We all enjoyed a great meal with 2 bottles of wine and excellent service.

Had chosen "DEEP COVE CHALET" FOR FEW YEARS NOW FOR MY PARTNER 'S BIRTHDAY decided to make a RESERVATION FOR FOUR PEOPLE, AT THE END OF THE CONVERSATION I Asked the gentleman on the phone if the restaurant had some protocol regarding COVID and asked if we should bring masks. He replied with a very arrogant tone you can wear masks if you want to, but our staff don't. He tells me that if I want to cancel to do so and call them back when COVID's crisis is over feeling quite surprise by his comment my response was I would check with my friends and call back. I talked to my friends about it and they all agreed to cancel our reservation feeling cases on the island have been increasing and that the staff at the Chalet not wearing masks was of concern for all of us. A few days later I did call back the restaurant to cancel ,the same gentleman answered the phone with again the same attitude telling him that I wanted to cancel all he said was "fine goodbye" very abrubtly hanging up on me .Again shock and surprised by the rude attitude. Still love the restaurant . I still want to go back hoping that the management would have the right person to answer the phone with more 'tact' and more sensitivity to customer's needs.
Sign VERY dissapointed.
