One of the standout dishes at this restaurant is the wings, known for their incredible flavor and consistency. A recent find during my visit was the "Golden Wok," where I tried the combo #3 featuring a variety of dishes for just $8.99. Despite the dim atmosphere and less-than-ideal washroom conditions, the food quality impressed me with its freshness and lack of MSG, making it a worthwhile option for authentic Chinese cuisine in Orillia.

I have been going to the Golden Wok for years and find the service as well as the food excellent. Whether take in or out we have always had fast polite service, the food has always been wonderful and ample in portion.

09/12/2013 - Who Can Be Choosey?
Now, in Orillia there is basically only one all you can eat Chinese buffet. All too often I find the found quite greasy (often you can pour excess grease out of the egg rolls). Is it the quality of the Mandarin or even King's Buffet...certainly not. However, the service that the Asian staff provide is fairly good (when it's not busy, I find the bulk of the Caucasian staff require some training though). On another note, the take-out is rarely greasy unless you call for delivery at a busy time and then it rivals KFC for grease sometimes but that is to be semi-expected I guess.
