I'm a regular at Hunting Island Fish Market in Augusta, known for fantastic fried fish and shrimp. The place is unassuming but serves delicious seafood and Chinese combos at great prices.

I have never written a review, but I felt compelled to write this review. I have been loyal a customer of Hunters Island for years, however, I was very disappointed in the service I received today. I return some fish because it smelt bad. The lady behind the counter said some people had a different sense of smell even after she smelt the bad fish. I did not get sorry for your inconvenience or anything he just gave me another order of fresh fish, no apology. I like this place and I hope they change their attitude and give us the service we deserve on the Southside.

I visit here at least once a week¹¹and the food is always good. Their lunch specials are filling. The time is to 3 or 4. Always customers there when I visit. No they are.not writing their own comments. They have plenty customers. I have never seen where I am the only one. Go back again

Their food is great! I love it and I will recommend anyone who loves fried fish's shrimps and shrimp fried rice customer service, is great also!

I've been eating fresh bone-in bream from here forever. I just found out WHERE it's located. The food is great, fresh and HOTTT!👌👍 I have the same experience everytime and it's positive. I keep ordering the same meal. I need to try other items on their menu. Try it! I bet you'll be back👍.

I used to frequent this place often for several years. When Hunting Island Fish Market Formerly known as our beloved Hunting Island Seafood came to the community business was booming. We had a diverse seafood menu from alligator and frog legs to your basic flounder or catfish. They also offered fried rice and wings. Well I recently visiting after a few months of not going. I placed an order over the phone and the man who answered was the WRONG person to greet customer in ANY business. he was not pleasant nor professional. I cant fully fault him because management has to set the standard. I ordered filet bream and was told that they do NOT filet the fish. The order was ready in a timely manner but again the staff was less than cordial. The food seemed to be great. It smelled good but when biting into my fish it had a very bitter taste. Disgusting. Today I am shocked to see a good rating and would not be surprised if it were only employees writing these high ratings to keep their jobs available because it does not appear to get much traffic when I pass by. I will not recommend this place unless you don't care about customer service.
