I went to this awesome restaurant the other day and it was hilarious - the chefs have this weird mating call they do every now and then. The food is amazing, especially the Pollo Ala Crema and Pollo Loco. The servings are huge, the prices are reasonable, and the service is quick.

The service was great. Karens will tell you otherwise. The food was bland though. It is depressing that they whitewash their food so much.

One of my favorite places to go out to eat at. Contrary to the other review I read, the staff is very friendly. I work at Dollar General next to them so I interact with the employees and manager frequently. They have always been very pleasant and the food is delicious. I would definitely recommend!

While I have no complaint about the food at this restaurant, (or least the Storm Lake location), I have plenty to complain about with the service.

My wife and 2 kids, one 16, the other 4, where dining there in the evening. Our waiter was, while not particularly gregarious, at least competent at first. Long story truncated, he brought out our food, told my oldest boy to be careful, it was hot (he is using a hot pad), then proceeds to put it down almost in front of my 4 year old. He then spun on his heels and walked off before I could say anything.

I was understandably unhappy.

Tried to find the manager; Not available. Come back tomorrow. Did so. Still not available, same story. 5 times I did this, each time asking the person I spoke with as to the whereabouts and availability of the manager. Each time got a vague, half-interested run-around. Finally somebody told me he was unavailable due to being on vacation in Mexico. Called and asked for the owner at the Spencer, IA location. Spoke with him, said I wanted to talk to him in person. He allowed that he would speak with me when he got back from HIS vacation, in Mexico. Said he would call me back, set up a meeting.... Never did.

Tried again the manager at the Storm Lake location some weeks later. Same story as before.

Conclusion: I am all about customer service. I have been known to frequent establishments that were not as good or inexpensive as the next due strictly to customer service. We will not be back again.
