The pool hall I visited recently offers $4 domestic draws during weekday happy hour and $10 pitchers as well. Their consistent food options like chicken tenders and boneless wings with homemade hot sauce and blue cheese are worth trying. The atmosphere is much nicer now that smoking is not allowed, and the friendly staff make the experience enjoyable.

Side Pockets is a bar/grill/pool hall. The emphasis is on the bar/grill portion of the business. The tables are not well kept, and are badly in need of maintenance. If you are going somewhere to play pool this is one establishment to skip. The food is good for bar food, and they have a good selection. However, the service is terrible, and this is evident by the lack of lunch business. There are several leagues that play at Side Pockets, and this is what is keeping the business a float. On non-league nights Side Pockets is deserted. There are many more places in Kansas City with better food, better staff, and cheaper fun. Don't settle for Side Pockets in Lenexa. On a side note - the Side Pockets in Olathe, and Bonner Springs have already gone out of business, and I see this one going under soon also.
