Happy Gardens is a great spot for Chinese buffet - super tasty and the staff is friendly. I like to eat here a couple times a month because it's delicious and the service is quick. The variety of dishes is good, just wish there were a few more options like at some other places I've been to.

She needs to trust an employee to stay at the register to check out customers. She will leave the registars while customers waiting to check out to handle a phone order. Customers getting upset about it. I have thought about leaving without paying on several occasions. No need to wait in line for 5 to 10 minutes to pay your bill. This seems a common practice of her. I am willing to say customers have left without paying they are tire of long waits at the register to pay their bill.

The owner needs to trust an employee to check out customers. Every time I go there she waiting on customers orders in the kitchen. Customers are getting tired of having to wait several minutes to check out. I myself have thought about leaving without paying my bill. Either she needs to stay at the register or assign someone that can handle phone orders. I've seen myself stand in line for several minutes waiting to check out.

I guess I should have given 5 stars, but it isn't perfect, nothing is. This restaurant does not have a fancy building or much in the way of curb appeal. That said, I have not found a Chinese food establishment anywhere that is better than this. I have tried one in Hammond that comes close, but no. Not even the ones I have tried in Mississippi, California or even Scotland! Happy Gardens in Larose rules!
