We fell in love at Hattie's. We went there every Sunday morning after walking our dogs. Forbidden love, but none-the-less, sweet, sincere and powerful. Will always remember this place with fondness. Food was pretty good too! 🤗🤷ðŸ¼"♀ï¸

My Family used to owned Hattie's and the Restaurant was sold about 4-5 years ago. I grew up in Biddeford Pool, lived there most of my life, And my Mother ran Hattie's for apprx 30yrs. I now live in California. I have fond memories of Biddeofrd Pool, and when I go to Maine to see my folks, I drive to the Pool, and every thing is so different today than when I lived there before. The memories I have are great.

We had spring fever and decided to spend the holiday weekend moseying around ME. All the snow is gone, and so is Hatties. We knew it wouldn't be open yet, but did not expect to see the place looking so horrid. Are they even still operating as a public eating establishment? Does anyone know (they still have a Hatties sign up)? I could NOT believe what I saw.

What a shame. After visiting this place for many, many years, we never thought someone could run this into the ground and out of business. We were told on our recent business that all they did was open an ice cream window whenever they wanted this past summer and rent the land for a couple of weddings. Now, even the building looks like it is falling apart. Very sad to see this, but I guess everything changes over time.

we came to this beautiful setting and stopped because there seemed to be quite a buzz going on at this nice little place on the water. We were served the most delicious home made ice cream by a nice gentleman and woman who was most likely the the owner. We had iced teas, and enjoyed the sunset, listened to the music and sat in the adirondack chairs...what a great spot! We will come back this week!

We stopped at this restaurant on our way up the coast of Maine in June. It was our 4th season stopping at Hattie's. In the past we have found it to be a quaint place, with welcoming local folks, and last year, we were impressed with the new owners. This year, apparently there was another set of owners, and the experience was horrible. The inside looked nice, but the food was cold, and seemed to be worth well less than we paid. We also were used to having friendly wait staff and this last summer that was not our experience. Perhaps the previous owners should share their secrets .
