Recently, I visited Cesar's Cafe in Lawrence for lunch. It's a cozy spot where you order at the counter and can only sit at the counter. The menu features pictures without descriptions, so it's a bit tricky to know what you're getting if you don't speak Spanish. I opted for the Cubano sandwich, and watching the owner prepare it in front of me was a treat. The sandwich was generously sized and packed with ham, shredded pork, swiss cheese, onion, and mustard. Although it lacked pickles, the addition of shredded cabbage provided a nice crunch. The prices are reasonable, and they accept both cash and cards. If you're a fan of panini sandwiches, this is the place to be in Lawrence. Don't miss out on their Cubano!
