The best food around

We were the only customers in the restaurant the entire visit. The one employee working was so rude, he didn't want to be bothered. I had a gift certificate for only $10 of our order and he didn't want to be bothered with it, and didn't. We ended up not being able to use it, because he said it didn't apply to our order, but in review, it absolutely did. The pizza was ok not great or even good, the ice cream was good. The prices were VERY expensive, soda only came in can or bottle at a BIG price. We will not be back and we are local.

A friend and I stopped in for lunch today. The owner was working the counter. I asked them if they had pizza made and he told us not until his employee gets in. We thought that was odd but decided to wait. A young guy arrived a few minutes later and immediately got us menus and took our order. My friend asked if they had high chairs, the owners response was "we only have one." Well that's all we needed anyway. We got our pizza, not the greatest. We got the check so I brought the ticket up to the counter for the owner to ring me up. He charged me a dollar for using my check card because my total was under $20 so I did not leave a tip instead I tipped his employee cash. I got home and checked my bank account online and he had hard posted a higher amount then I had signed on. I called him and he told me he was looking right at my ticket the one with out the tip, he made that very clear, and it must be my bank that's making the mistake. So I called my bank and they told me that was the amount the business hard posted and that I can bring in the recipe and they will file a discrepancy charge. I then called him back to tell him what the bank said and he called me a liar and started freaking out on me. I will be sure that any of my family or friends who visit Talors Falls will never make the mistake of giving Schoony's their business.

The Cheeseburger pizza, the staff, and atmosphere, and the chocolate/peanut butter/banana shake were all amazing. We hit up Schoony's Malt Shop after hiking the Interstate park and I will definitely go back the next time I am in Taylors Falls. The nice thing is that there was a sign stating there was no service on their patio but we ordered and they still brought our food out to the patio and waited on us. You wont be disappointed.

A great vintage atmosphere with a cute ice-cream shop and some of the best pizza and burgers I've had. Also, it was great to have all the old time soda's to remind me of my childhood and share stories with my children about how things used to be. A great spot for both family and friends to go and enjoy each others company.
