My husband is in Boomtown about once a month or more. Usually has a great experience of dinner and breakfast the next morning before heading out. Last night and today was terrible. He asked for dressing for his salad last night from three different people. After 20 minutes, he received it. Too late. There were two other tables. So not busy. Today, he had to tell the girl four different times how he wanted his eggs and that he wanted sausage. He received eggs and toast. No butter. No sausage. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time. It was 5:30am. This woman needs to find a different profession that having a memory is not required. We will still go back. Hopefully the people we've had in the past are working at that time. The guy that waited on him two weeks ago was completely on top of things! Great service and everything was perfect! (His girl is the boss:) ;)

The worst service imaginable and they used the excuse they were understaffed. The breakfast gravy is horrible it was watery brown gravy full of flaked parsley yuck. If you love Mel's Diners go to the one near Kohl's in Reno they know how to cook and their service is great! Boo to Mel's Diner at Boomtown!

Boo on Mel's, boomtown! Sign says open 24 hours but were closed at 10 pm on a Wednesday. Horrible what service businesses force on us.
