My son and I both ordered the pulled pork plate. When the meals arrived at our table we both noticed that each portion of our pork servings were at least 1/4 skin and fat (inedible!). My son's plate had a huge clump of what looked like jellied skin.
Our waitress stopped at our table and asked how the meals were. Since she asked, we showed her the piles of gooey, slimy skin we had separated on our plates. Her response was that since they process the whole pig, sometimes that's just the breaks and you get what you get. She helpfully offered to bring us an empty plate so that we could get the gross mess away from the edible portion of the meals.
I'd recommend skipping this place - try Famous Dave's, Dickie's, Men Wielding Fire, anywhere but Butcher's Kitchen. This restaurant must have some standard portion size that they plate per order, and that is what we had paid to eat. Apparently the restaurant's reasoning is if the entire serving had been skin and fat then that's just the chance we take by buying a meal there.
