The Chinese cuisine at this restaurant is truly exceptional, with flavorful dishes that leave a lasting impression. The warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with attentive service, creates a memorable dining experience that is worth revisiting.

Hello, This is one of the best Chinese foods I have ever had. I have reserved a seat of 6 a few days ago and it was all ready the food was fresh and tasty I really enjoy the place, and today when I came in there was an amazing kid he seems around 13-14 he took my orders at a quick paste. I also enjoy the great service from Julie and Mr Lee they are great! I am surely coming back again soon!!!

After five times ordering sushi from Shanghai restaurant through FoodToYou has been a total delight. I can honestly say, that it has to be the best sushi anywhere.
With each order the food is sent in individual boxes with our names on them, so that everything isn't put together for six people in one large box. Their sushi is so fresh and done to perfection. Nothing better than to be served with such a beautiful presentation.

The Menu us fabulous. Plenty of different variety of foods if you do not want sushi. Try it, and you will go back many a time.

A very costly mistake for Chinese restaurant – Shanghai Restaurant, located in Sparks, Nevada. Shang Hai Restaurant and Sushi House should shut down their doors.

This will be the most disgusting review you’ll have read about Shanghai Restaurant, located in Sparks, Nevada. I hope you read this and be able to make a better decision about dining at this restaurant. 90 of our guests will NOT be eating here EVER again! Jason Jia screwed himself over for his poor judgment and service to the restaurant business.

I recently had my Chinese wedding banquet at Shang Hai Restaurant, located in Sparks, Nevada, across from Reed High School. The banquet was for 90 guests and the owner of Shanghai Restaurant, Jason Jia, assured me that they can accommodate that many guests. Boy…this kid did not know what he was talking about! The restaurant WAS NOT able to accommodate 9 tables that seated 10 guests at each table. So, he stuck 3 tables filled with 30 guests behind a divider that made my guests feel like they weren’t important enough to be with the rest of the group. Mistake number 1! Next, the tables that were supposed to be set up for the guest book, wedding cake and wine beverage were never in the right place, let alone enough spaces to hold everything. Mistake number 2! As the guests started to arrive, we asked Jason and his wait staff to begin bringing out the water or sodas or some beverage for the guests while they waited for dinner to be served. We were told that the restaurant DID NOT have enough glasses for everyone, so the guests who really wanted a drink should ask for one. I was so disgusted when they started to bring out blue plastic cups to serve my guests with water and coke. They promised that the guests could have an assortment of sodas and tea. No tea was served as with the traditional Chinese wedding banquet. And who serves plastic cups???? Have some class, Jason! They did not even bring out any drinking glasses or tea cups! We even rented our own wine glasses to serve our own wine! If the restaurant couldn’t afford drinking glasses to serve 90 guests, then don’t allow a banquet of this size! Mistake number 3! The final straw was when a few dozen of our guests reported that they saw Shanghai Restaurant wait staff sneaking off plates filling with our wedding cake into the kitchen for them to enjoy. Guests witness them eating the cake behind the divider that separated the kitchen and dining area. I have to make a note that these were Chinese women staff so that those reading this story do not assume they are of Hispanic heritage! Nothing against Chinese people, as I am a Chinese woman myself. I was thoroughly disgusted when I heard that the wait staff stole our cake and ate them without even asking! It was the most disrespectful thing that I have ever heard of in my entire life! I don’t recall the wait staff as being part of the wedding guests? Who ever heard? The service was so poor and the staff was rude and disrespectful to all of us! Lastly, it felt like the cook himself was in a hurry when they rushed out all the food out onto the Lazy Susan, piling all 10 entree dishes on top of one another. I ordered 10 entries, and all 10 plates were piling on top of each other at each table. Typically at a Chinese dinner banquet, the restaurant is supposed to pace the cooking so that the guests can at least enjoy one entrée at a time before bringing out the next. Nope…Shang Hai Restaurant wanted us out the door even before the event started! Disgusting! They screwed us over for the amount of money they charged and hence they screwed themselves over as well. You would think that Jason Jia would take this opportunity to impress 90 local residents for repeated business. You didn’t realize that negative review travels fast, did you, Jason? And that, Jason, is the costliest business lesson you should learn due to your lack of judgment and poor management of this restaurant. Obviously, a high school diploma to you alone, didn’t teach you a thing about business.

Also, just so you know, Jason Jia also owns both the Shang Hai Restaurant and Sushi House that’s located next door to the Chinese restaurant. The sushi there is terrible and is really fishy smelling. The dark room disguises the stale food. The seaweed salad is often served frozen. Terrible, terrible, terrible! Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
