This was our second time coming to dinner for new years eve and while we thoroughly enjoyed last years dinner. This year was a huge disappointment. We showed at 7 for our reservation and everything was okay our server was nice and brought us drinks, took our order for appetizers and entrees shortly after, The starters were good. A little expensive for avocado toast and pimento cheese dip like from the supermarket but it was good. We finish our appetizers after about 20 or 30 minutes and then we sit and wait for our entree...
For and hour and a half..
And while we had a good time just sitting and talking we were starting to get hungry.. At no point did our waitress let us know what was going on or offer an update. And finally at 8:45 our waitress brings out dinner for the table next to us which was sat at least 20 minutes after us. At this point she sees us and gives us finger guns and says you guys are up next. She brings the plate out and says enjoy.
It had gone cold...
I wasn't really too thrilled about paying $30 for a cold meal. So we told her and this is where it really gets worse. She takes our plates. I guess talks to a manager or something and comes back out and says that we wouldn't have to pay for our entree and offered us a free dessert..
Let me be clear. They didnt give us a free entree. They just said we wouldn't have to pay for a cold meal We sent back. They did not offer to remake or even reheat it. (Not that I really wanted a microwaved steak anyways).
We declined the free dessert because we really just wanted a nice dinner and werent trying to get anything for free. They still made us pay for our drinks and appatizers.
So we left 2 hours later without a meal and feeling kinda pissed off about how management had handled the whole situation. It's a shame because the food looked like it was well cooked and I understand mistakes happen but it's how management deals with a mistake that really makes a good restaurant.
I've had better service from a Taco Bell that messed up my meal than this place.
Won't be going again but at least we have a funny story about the worst dinner service the night we got engaged.
