Efes restaurant the best Turkish restaurant we have ever encountered . My partner and I have been regulars for many years. We call it the hidden jewel in Halifax. We always get the dinner for two which starts with a fabulous , beautifully garnished plate with five or six different delights to add to the hot perfectly grilled bread. I'm not kidding it's so delicious. This is followed up with a fresh finely chopped Turkish salad of lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber and parsley. Always so fresh ! The plate arrives with four types of grilled meat, each one seasoned differently and to perfection and the best tasting rice I have ever eaten accompanied by a small dish of dipping sauce that just finishes it off perfectly. A mouth watering piece of baklava served with Turkish tea or coffee ends this exceptional meal off. If I sound impressed.... I AM. I have eaten here many many times and have never left anything but thrilled, tummy full and usually lunch for the next day in a takeout. The service, pricing and ambience are amazing. This is the best dollar value in the city. We have taken many friends over the years who have tried other dishes and the response is always the same... WOW... that was awesome. Can't wait to go back. As a prior restaurant owner myself I do not give reviews like this lightly ! Check it out. You'll see I'm right!
