The food at Carora Bistoro is good, albeit perhaps overpriced. Carolina, the owner, is nice, as long as you have no criticism. My now wife, who is also from Venezuela, and I decided to have Carora cater both our wedding rehearsal dinner and our reception the next day. This was a grave mistake. We ordered food for 65 people at the rehearsal dinner and it ran out after 52 people had a plate. The next morning, our wedding day, Carolina insisted that we return her chaffing dishes immediately, contrary to the plan that she pick them up at the reception venue when she delivered the food for that event later that evening. We returned the dishes as asked, which was a great inconvenience. And then she showed up 40 minutes late to the reception with her food!! In our correspondence after the fact, she in effect blamed us for all of the above, defending her service "always impeccable." Again, the food is ok. But the owner is an unprofessional, toxic person who does not keep her word. There are other options for Venezuelan food in KC. I would try those first. And avoid Carora completely for ANY catered event.
