Came from owego to pick up 2 chicken and biscuit dinners and was very disappointed in the price of 28 . The meals consisted of 1 ice cream scoop of box mashed potatoes, 1 cup of coleslaw and a prefabricated biscuit cut in half with very little chicken and salty prefabricated gravy. Maybe 14 dollars of food but just nasty. Never again

Nice place, great food, BUT...they close early and hap-hazardly. If a snow event is PREDICTED, they're closed that day. If we do get 2" of snow during the day, they're closed at 5pm.....on a FRIDAY night when the place is usually packed. We've traveled 20 miles there on a mildly wintry night and they were closed. Please toughen up people.

Their food is so delicious it just melts in my mouth. Try the Mac n cheese and cloeslaw or the baked fish, curleys bacon burger, or the delicious chicken.. I wish I could eat here every night, but my body would hate me.. still living the food from curleys

Ordered a baked fish, potato salad & coleslaw to go. Got to car & thought bag felt a little light...no potato salad, ,went back in & cashier knew there was a problem so I switched the potato salad to a baked potato. Well, needless to say, the baked potato was over baked & dry, the mini piece of fish was over baked & dry especially crunchy dry around perimeter, couldn't pull fish apart with a fork! Just simply horrible! And for $13.99, had I thought they would stoop so low to serve something so embarrassing, I would have gotten $13.99 worth of coleslaw! Shame on them to serve such a sorry mess! Won't be visiting them any time soon!

These reviews seem a little harsh. Curly's chicken is not the best restaurant I've ever been to but they do a great job preparing and frying up chicken.

Dirty, unfriendly and dysfunctional. All come to mind after eating here. Food is just average cafeteria food and not cooked right. I think everything comes frozen and microwaved before served. Would explain why inside is cold. Wont stop here again.

The restaurant is really getting worse with their menu changes and food that needs to be cooked thoroughly. My wife and I ordered chicken lunches, found the potatoes and chicken were cold and the cole slaw was terrible. They used to serve wingdings and they were good. Now that is no longer on the menu. I know why there are less cars and customers at Curly's and more cars and customers across the street at Formosa's. If you want to continue to be a restaurant serving good food, warm food and want to stay in business, then change how you serve food so that customers will come back. Right now, you lost a customer. I have friends with the same problem with Curly's and they don't want to say anything; I told them if you don't tell them their food is lousy, they will continue doing the same.

My wife and I have gone to Curlys Restaurant in Elmira numerous times over the years. We recently went to the restaurant for dinner, we ordered the small chicken dinner with two sides. I had the French Fries with gravy and Cabbage salad, my wife had Mashed Potatoes with gravy and Cabbage salad. My wife asked for no Paprika due to allergies, when it arrived of course it had Paprika. The waitress returned very quickly with a salad without Paprika. She didn't leave straws for our drinks and while waiting for straws we started on the salads, they turned out to be inedible, they had to much pepper. When the chicken arrived my wife's was not done all the way and mine was over done, my French fries and gravy was ice cold, and my wife's gravy was also cold. There was an awful smell during the entire meal and when I went to pay I observed a young man in the front room of the restaurant mopping with straight Bleach, it was so powerful it burned my eyes and nostrils I asked the cashier if she knew that employees were not supposed to be using straight bleach while there were customers in the vicinity. She just looked at me like I had two heads. I paid my bill and left the restaurant. I don't believe my wife and I will be going back for quite awhile. In the past twenty years that was the worst meal we ever had there, although some were questionable items in the past but we put that as being busy. But today they were not busy at all. Sorry Curly's but you've lost my family.

Tough to made a good decision when you sit down to eat and see roaches crawling up the walls. Waitress tried to dismiss them as waterbugs. It's a dump as always!!!!

The food was good, but that's not what I'm writing about. Initially I ordered a grilled ham and cheese sandwich with tomato on sourdough bread for $4.99. I found out that sourdough bread has an extra charge of $.95. I didn't see the $.95 extra charge for sourdough bread anywhere on the menu. I can't believe they just don't add the $.95 to the sandwich and have a total charge of $5.94. Besides how can you justify adding $.95 when it's part of the sandwich sales. I think they should reconsider about how the charge and communicate the charge for sourdough bread. One more note the waitress didn't tell me there was an added $.95 charge the only way I found out was on my bill. Really? As a customer I should know ahead of time so I can make a true informed decision.
