So, my neighbor guy, also a building super, suggested El Nuevo Carribeño, and man, what a spot! The young waitress and the dude at the counter made us feel right at home, surrounded by all these different Spanish accents - being Mexican from Cali, it was vibes galore. We got help picking out our dishes, and let me tell you, the pechuga al ajillo and bistec encebollado were fire! The flavors were so authentic, and the portions were huge - felt like we were back in the motherland! The staff were all so friendly, and the outdoor seating was a nice touch. I usually order the salmon and veggies, but this time, there were way too many potatoes - not my jam, but hey, we all have off days. Tried Uber Eats for a change, and oh boy, the chicken in garlic sauce, shrimp mofongo, steamed veggies, cheese, and tres leches cake were on point! Can't wait to dive into more of their menu soon!
