Absolutely fantastic experience at Hilltop! The whole belly clams were a standout dish, cooked to perfection. The Bolognese was reminiscent of the North end of Boston. I also appreciated the warm hospitality from Dave, the owner. The Hilltop is a must-visit for delicious, no-frills food in a cozy atmosphere.

Hilltop cafe has the best pizza i ever had. And it's not only their pizza. Their cheese Philly steak grinders are to run for, with or without shoes on. All their food on their menu is all so very good. The owner dave and his employees make u feel like family when u dine in or even when u pick up take out. I order once a week on Tuesdays for their five dollar pizza, and sometimes i treat myself again with their cheese Philly steak grinders. YUMMY :-) :-)

I rated Hill Top 5 stars because everything I have eaten there has been awesome except for a recent purchase. I heard so much about the Beef Stew so I got two separate orders to go for later that evening. When they brought out the two separate bags with the cup of stew and bread I was surprised. First of all for $9. dollars I expected more than just a cup or maybe it was a cup and quarter. Mostly huge chunks of potatoes and 3 pieces of beef the size of a nickel. It was more a potatoe stew then beef stew. Will never get that again !!! Now their home made chicken soup and others are to die for. Their steak sandwiches ( and I had both shaved and rib eye ) are the best in all of Westerly if not Rhode island and I go to a lot of resturants. Hill Top especially on a Friday night is like the TV show "Cheers". It is one of best places for food and great company that Rhode Island has to offer. Just do not order the Beef Stew. The pizza is the one of the best in all of Rhode Island. I know my Pizza !!! Their dinners are home made with fresh ingridients created by owners wife. They do deserve 5 stars to be fair.
