I'll start by saying that itzakaya/katsuya have historically been great. And I've had. Many great dinners and great times at there establishments. It's disappointing when bad host manners and poor managerial oversight ruin a restaurant's reputation. The front host decided to give away our 6 person seat to another family (who pretended to be us by saying). When immediately addressed in a respectful manner the restaurant did not address the situation right away but waited for more tables to open up to get us seated. I spoke to the host and the manager and they did not have any practical solutions to resolve the situation.
