This was a great restaurant that was run by wonderful people. In the glory days of the Snake River Stampede when many of the biggest stars in America would come to Nampa, Idaho, you could find some of them dining at El Charro. Actor and war hero Audie Murphy, as well as the Bonanza actors, were loyal patrons. All gone now, and Nampa is poorer because of it.
