The best Asian Mongolian restaurant in Joplin. Bigger variety of seafood than most. Everything is always fresh. Great atmosphere.

When Pacific Rim first opened, we were opened because we figured we would finally have an Oriental Restaurant where we could order off the menu vs buffet and get high quality food (like Mr. Yen's in Springfield). At first our dreams seemed to have come true.
Today, Mother's Day 2013, turned out to be one of the worst eating out experiences we have ever had. One of our favorites on the menu has always been the Ruby Crystal Shrimp. Today it was fried and the broccoli served with it was actually cold, not warm, cold. The shrimp we paid $15.95 for looked exactly like the Ruby Shrimp on the buffet with all the other stuff that was "all you can eat" for $9.95. My wife order ordered Oriental Tea and got a cup with a tea bag in it, no Oriental Pitcher and small cup at all. ($2.50).
I ordered the Mu Shu Pork which was supposed to be served with rice pancakes. I got store bought tortilla's. Not very good ones at that and they were so cold I had to send them back.
Total bill before tip was $32 something.
I complained to the manager and he basically ignored me.
If they are going to be a buffet restaurant, then stop the pretend menu stuff.
We will never go back.
