I used to be a fan of the Ranch Hand beef ribs because they used to have a nice sear and their hot bbq sauce used to be second to none. I'm not sure WHAT has happened because the last two times I've ordered takeout, the ribs have been really really bad. And I'm not one to take time out to write bad reviews but my order yesterday (3/16/22) was exceptionally bad.
Once I got home, I was anticipating the bbq... Yikes. The ribs were so tough that I literally could not bite off an entire piece because the toughness of the meet prevented my top and bottom teeth from actually coming together to pull off the meat. I had to get my serrated steak knife and a fork (which could barely pierce the meat... I wish I were lying) just to get the meat off the bones. Since I live in ventura 25 minutes away without traffic, I couldn't take them back, otherwise I would have. So I tried slow-cooking them at 200 degrees in my own oven, hoping that some more fat rendering would tenderize the ribs. No such luck, they remained the same. $25.70 down the drain.
I hope their management sees this review and fixes WHATEVER has gone wrong with the beef rib process. They were, without exaggeration, horrible.
