I enjoy dining at a small restaurant near Lake Barkley that my family loves. The food is delicious, and the service is always friendly. Whether you prefer fish or burgers, the meals are consistently tasty and satisfying. If you find yourself in the area, it's worth stopping by for a great meal experience.

Best service and food I've had in the state of Kentucky! Get the fish, cheese curds and spicy slaw. Tad bit pricey, but it is worth every penny, as you get a lot of food.

We went on Sunday. It was our first time eating there. We drove from Hopkinsville and it was a beautiful ride with great food and service. We ordered the fried Mushrooms to start out with, the amount was more than we expected and the ranch sauce was out of this world to dip them in. Main meal Chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. Hamburger steak , mashed potatoes and okra. Amazing especially the gravy. We will definitely be back.

RESTAURANT REVIEW: "The Fishing Hole" - Hidden Treasure Alert!!! In my quest to check out as many of our local (within 80 miles of home) restaurants as I can and mining for Restaurant treasure, I believe I have found a real "Hidden Treasure" in "The Fishing Hole" restaurant way back in the hollers of Cadiz! We found this little restaurant by accident after checking out "The Pier" at Prizer Point Resort a few weeks ago, which we enjoyed as well. We have found many good restaurants off the beaten path, but this little restaurant is awesome! It is a Ma & Pa kind of restaurant, and with tons of village charm, and the owners and staff are wonderful folks, but it's the food that out shines even the friendliness of the staff! We are talking "WOW!!!" here, at least for my tastes! If you leave this place hungry, it is definitely your own fault! Prices are very reasonable as well. This Restaurant gets the "Biggest Fish Filets" award in the area, and they are cooked perfectly. Seriously, the 2 piece fish filet meal is enough for most big eaters and if you have a hollow leg, then the 3 piece Fish meal will fill that too! LOL! Seriously, the portions are very generous, and VERY, VERY GOOD! Their white beans were cooked perfectly; the fries were very good as well. We tried the Fried pickles which were very good, and despite being thicker than I like, the flavor of their Fried Green Tomatoes was good, my wife thought they were Excellent. There is an attached Ice Cream shop as well, which has some very good chocolate shakes, and their home-made Fried Pies are going to be legendary as soon as the rest of the area finds out about them. This a Restaurant has inspired me to create a whole new category - 'Gut Buster', cause you'll want to eat til your gut feels like it could bust! LOL! Seriously, if you like catfish, this as a 'MUST TRY' dinning destination, cause it really is that good! This has earned a 5 Star rating, in my humble opinion, and I am looking forward to taking family & friends to try this place out. They will be closed the week of Labor Day, but will be back open after that week. Seriously, if you like catfish, and within 80 miles of this place, you have to give it a try!
