Stopped by the Roy Rogers in a North Somerset rest stop and indulged in a delicious spread of fries and onion rings. Initially skeptical of the gold rush sandwich, but after piling on fresh lettuce, tomatoes, and onions from the fixin' bar, it quickly became a veggie-loaded favorite. The nostalgia of dining at Roy Rogers in my younger years made the visit worth it, despite the slightly higher prices typical of turnpike rest stops. The chicken was a standout dish, with large, flavorful pieces that were worth savoring even the next day.
