Try the fried green tomatoes at Purple Cow in Kingsport, they have a wide selection of fresh, made-to-order dishes that cater to all tastes, such as the steak bomb and fried pickles, which are always a delicious treat worth the drive despite the occasional wait time.

We ordered a fish dinner and a burger and onion rings. The fish was good but didn't get my extra tarter sauce, the slaw was the best I've had. Instead of the onion rings we got 2 baked potatoes and my husband took about two bites of the burger and said it was worthless. We can save the potatoes and warm them up tomorrow so I think we got the better end of the deal cost wise. Don't think we'll ever go back.

Friday may 19, 2017 my wife and i stoped at purple cow. we ordered at 7:35 pm and got our food at 8:30 pm. We ordered 2 steaks one with baked potatoe and one with potatoe wedges. when we picked up our food the girl asked what we had ordered and i told her. She said she had made a mistake and would correct it. When we got home, about 10 miles away. We found out she gave us 2 steak bombs and 2 baked potatoes, not what we ordered. This was after i told her what we had ordered and she said she made a mistake! We paid $21.11 for something that was $10.00 or $12.00. To make matters worse, one of the steak bombs was half raw! It was so late and we were both tired, so I was not about to drive back. If the purple cow plans to stay in business they might want to get their act together!!!! I mean how do you mess up an order after someone tells you a second time?

Have good food,but came through drive-thru last night and got orders,and a box of fries... Their was less fries in the box,than a large order we had...Will not order the box fries again,so not worth it!!!!

Babydoll and I live in North Carolina! We have family in the area around Kingsport! Every time we come up we have to get some Purple Cow! The food is amazing! The prices cannot be beat! We Love Purple Cow!

4 small milkshakes, 2 orders of chicken strips, and 2 large fries......... cost me over 30.00. Guy was rude and when we called back to make sure about the prices, woman was rude and cussed and hung up on us. Sorry not my kind of place. It says I have to choose a rating, so I chose 1, but I would have chosen -1 if it had been available

I really enjoy their food. They have just about any thing you want.The steak bomb is great.
