On a quiet Saturday, I tried the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw at a local establishment in Capron. The bun had a delicious sweet sauce, but I wished there was more meat on it. While they seem to prefer cash payments, they offer quick service and a friendly atmosphere worth experiencing.

We love going to Porky's BBQ in Capron, VA. Quaintness and charm abound in this little Restaurant nestled
at the intersection right off Rt. 58 and Main Street in Capron. Like one would suppose, barbeque is a main attraction. But, the homemade, grilled burgers are what I always order as they're grilled to perfection by Sharon Painter, the owner. And, it wouldn't be lunch if my meal didn't end with one of Sharon's daughter Marti's delicious, homemade baked goods. Her chocolate brownies are to die for!! You feel right at home the moment you step inside. The walls are lined with all sorts of treasures for sale and it's always a treat to see the handmade items the local folks bring in. It's a happy sort of place, full of mouth watering scents filling the air with just a touch of Southern charm to make you feel like..you've had a visit..home.
