The bar-back threatened me after eavesdropping on my Facetime call with my wife and mother-in-law and assumed i was bad-mouthing the bar. He called me out from across the bar yelling, "I heard you talking sh*t on my bar" and then walked off after me saying "excuse me??" multiple times to no response. When i spoke to the manager he apologized and said, "he's having a bad week". This does not justify harassing your customers in any way, but i condoned it and offered to tip the bar-back substantially if he'd speak to me man-to-man like the manager had. Instead, the bar-back appeared from the same place across the bar and denied the tip saying "I don't want your money, but I accept your apology", i responded "Woah, I'm not apologizing for anything, i just want to talk to you and clear this up" to which he threatened, "you don't want to mess with me, you don't want me to come over there" this is all in front of the manager... i looked at him and said, "I can't do anything with this and am going to have to leave" the manager said he was sorry but insisted that the bar-back was just trying to protect his bar from... me. This was very deflating as an excited customer who was sharing his experience on Facetime with his family. This is a pandemic, everyone's having "a bad week", drop your ego and let people have a good time. I hope the management will see that people like him will only hurt their business and the income of there servers in the long run.
