I do believe that last night will be the last time my wife and I will be going to the Boat Shed. The service was fine, food was good but I fear they have just priced us out of any future visits. We have always gone there for their Halibut dinner but tonight it was not on their main menu. I asked our server if they were still serving just the regular Halibut dinner, which after checking with the kitchen, she said they still did. As I said earlier, the food was good but not for $36 per plate. A piece of fish, scoop of rice and some green beans all for $36 seemed a bit pricy especially when it's advertised for $24 on their on-line menu. I discovered this after getting home and going on-line and checking it out. I'm guessing because it wasn't on their dinner menu it was considered a "special" order which is fine but it would have been nice for our server to let us know of the up charge. So the price of this dinner, the cost for a cup of hot tea ($3.25) and to be charged for a small paper serving cup of Tarter sauce that I had asked for, just seems a bit excessive to me. Time to find another place for fish.
