I stopped by the other day and was surprised to see Mel Krupin and Morty Krupin back in action. I ate the food, tasted the dessert, and was in heaven. This place is def. one of the best NY style deli's in the Washington DC area.

The breakfasts are culinary delights-pregnant omelets, fluffy rich French Toast, decadent pancakes (try sharing and you won't feel so guilty about indulging). This is one casual restaurant that has wonderful new owner who is so personable and Morty Krupin is back!!! Stop by to meet Eric, the new owner, with an interesting, eclectic background.
He has wonderful plans for bringing this institution from under the dark cloud that has hung over it too long and back into the limelight of some of USA's best. The overstuffed deli sandwiches are items not to be missed, the matzo balls are as good as Mom's and Grandma's, potato pancakes are savory and moist. Don't forget the blintzes. This charming deli is truly a diamond in the rough whose rough edges are slowly but surely going to shine again soon with the new team. The help is personable and charming and are genuinely enjoying the regulars and new patrons. The staff is always smiling and pleasant and eager to please, you will surely put this at the top of your list of fun, inexpensive, unpretencious and sumptuous dining experiences.
