The bar offers a true bar experience, with ice-cold beers and strong mixed drinks at great prices. I found the cheeseburger to be absolutely delicious and will definitely return for dinner and drinks. The small kitchen impressively delivers flavorful dishes without over-complicating the menu.

I love to support family-owned, local businesses. Having read some positive reviews about Jay Dee's, a friend and I stopped in for dinner last night. Big mistake! No food, only alcoholic beverages. Turns out that the last two chefs (and I use the term loosely) quit during the summer. The space is large (two separate rooms), and if there were a good chef and an appealing menu, it easily could be a nice place for the whole family. Others like it (two Charlie's Trio locations, 38 Degrees, Gus's Bar-B-Cue in SoPas, just for starters) do a great business. I guess this place just isn't interested.
