The food at Pappy & Jimmies was delicious, with friendly servers making the experience even better. My husband enjoyed the country fried steak while I savored the chicken and dressing, definitely worth the 45-minute drive to Covington for some comforting Southern cuisine.

I always enjoy the food when I go.
I don't know of anything I haven't eating that hasn't been good. I recommend this place if you like meat and vegetables

Strong tradition established in Memphis carries on in Covington. Billy is an alright manager and food is great.

Pappy and Jimmys in Covington is GREAT...I have been going for several years now and I can only think of 1 time I was a little disappointed..Everytime its been really good. I don't know how anyone can see the cook put frozen shrimp in anything unless he was back in the kitchen with them...He must have been in a different place!!! Keep up the good work Pappy...We love ya

I grew up in Memphis. It was a treat to eat at Pappy's and Jimmy's on Madison Ave. Recently, I was returning to visit Memphis and I searched for Pappy's and Jimmy's, not knowing that they were no longer in Memphis. We visited the restaurant in Covington and were very disappointed. We got the seafood platter. I watched as staff dumped frozen shrimp to cook. The oysters were OK, the shrimp was overcooked and I'm not sure what the fish "tenders" were. We tried the pecan pie, that a "reviewer" said was the best they ever had. What a disappointment. I make better pecan pie. To me, the place is a "dive". They are a legend in their own minds!

I have been a waitress at Pappy&Jimmies since it opened! We take pride in our southern hospitality and southern cooking. We have awesome seafood gumbo!!!!
