Our party ate at the Florence location on a Friday evening. The service was good. However, I feel the food to be lacking in quality. Maybe we came on a bad day but I felt the food was too salty. My country fried steak was probably cooked for lunch. I may or may not return to the Florence location.

Let me tell you about GARDEN GATE it is the most wonderful soul food restaurant in the shoals area to eat at and i try not to miss a Thursday its CHICKEN and DRESSING DAY and its the greatest and they have the best veggies around so if your in the shoals area please stop bye you want be disappointed you will go back for more.

DO you want food that takes you back to country days and reminds you of Grandma?? THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Very good food, large portions, quick service and an amazingly reasonable price.

The food is very good, and the service is very fast. They give you a choice of a meat and three vegetables, and the portions are hearty. I am a college student and I try to thrifty. I can usually eat on the portions they give for two days. I highly recommend this place, especially if you are a college student and you are watching your wallet!

The food is amazing and the workers are also amazing. The price is very worth it. I am from the north and I tell you there is no better food then that of the south, and The Garden Gate Cafe is perfect for family or dining alone.

This is an excellent "Meat and Three." The food is good and of reliable quality. The service is even better. The wait staff is polite and engaging and actuially cares about their customers.
