Stopped through a town I hadn't even heard of to pull over to try to book a hotel on my phone"¦happened to be passing Sonic and decided to pull over to get some food while we looked up hotels up north"¦this proved to be the most costly choice of our road trip! I used to love Sonic slushies when I was younger and thought, "why not?" We went to the drive-thru window, ordered food (pretty normal for a fast food place) , but for some reason, the girl gave us our food before she gave my card back"¦acting a little off, didn't think much of it at the time, BUT a couple days later my card was turned off for fraudulent activity (after a $520.49 charge to 'The city of La Junta' had been processed with numerous other fraudulent charges flagged) The only place we stopped in that town was Sonic"¦We were traveling from California to Missouri to see my mom who hadn't been doing well, so this was more than unpleasant to find out. I have since called the complaint line so many times over the last month and have been promised a call back (which has yet to happen!) I can't even look at a Sonic sign now without crying! This has been THE worst drive-thru experience of my life/worst time trying to speak to someone who cares enough to do something to make this remotely "right". I could go on and on about all of the problems this has since caused, but bottom line"¦VERY displeased to say the least!
