Our group, many of whom had never tried Ethiopian cuisine before, was pleasantly surprised by the delicious and abundant food served by the talented owner. Despite not knowing the exact names of each dish, we were thoroughly impressed by the flavors and warmth of the experience. The owner's dedication to providing exceptional service and authentic dishes made our dining experience truly memorable and enjoyable.

Amazing food!

My go to place for decades. Zodie's smile would melt an iceberg. If you're in a rush come another time but if you want some of the most flavorful food anywhere and have a little time to relax and savor it this is your place. Our children are now in their thirties but have grown up with Zodie treating them like family, and seeing Zodie's children grow up and thrive and now our grandkids are getting the same. We moved out of the neighborhood years ago but still make the trip for great food and warm companionship. I've never been disappointed.

Homophobic!!! My partner and i arrived holding hands and the restaurant was completely full at 8:50. The "queen" must have been having a bad day because she asked if we were from out of town because we have bad manners for coming this late. When we sat down she came back 15 minutes later and after we ordered she said "you know the prices have changed right" prices on the menu were not changed or any indication of any price change. She then quoted us $15 more than the price on the menu for one item. Then walked away from the table without taking anymore orders from our friends. She was being very rude and obviously didn't want us to be there so we told her we were going o leave. We were trying the make the best of an ugly situation. She then followed us out of the restaurant to the car and demanded payment for the drinks we didn't receive. I have eaten here before and never experienced this. Will never be returning here again. I would recommend Mesob. It's across the street. Larger. Nicer. Cleaner. Better staff. Better food. Has a bar.

I have gone to this restaurant since it opened , so nearly 30 years! Always, it is fantastic! We love Ethiopian food, and I have tried to find another as good...in Denver, Minneapolis, and in Cape Town.

Queen of Sheba, right there on Colfax, is the best!
