I'm usually stingy with five stars, but this diner blew me away with its fantastic food and welcoming vibe. The menu is huge, the service is friendly, and I can't wait to go back for more delicious meals!

Food is beyond fantastic, just opened back up from being closed due to rona, had zero appetite recently and this is the first full meal ive been able to eat because the food is that good.

I was forced to give a rating of at least one star. They deserved no stars tonight from me!. From the phone call to place the order for pick up to the opening of the containers, it was all around BAD!, The phone was answered by a gruff voice. Someone that probably didn't want to even be there. Whenever I asked for a small special request I was either shot down then with an excuse of how they can't accommodate my request or I got the old shaft when I opened the containers at home, of..."you always get €+%*#{ in the drive thru or in this case the walk in/pickup!
I asked that both orders of eggs be over easy, both egg orders were fully cooked!!!!! Mine had to be thrown away, the other person picked thru his with a fake smile! Then came my request for the French fries to be cooked on the light side. They were golden brown, and showed wear and tear of being fries leftover from earlier in the evening. I had to throw half away. We still have our Reuben left to eat. My request that the pastrami be cut thin couldn't be done, I already knew it would not be since he informed me on the phone it was cut this morning and I had to eat it that way. I asked him if he could cut it up in small pieces, and agreed to that. The pastrami was cut up a little, but not all the pieces were and it is very dry. I also asked that mustard be put on the sandwich instead if the thousand island dressing. His answer to that request was, no. We will put it on the side. I said no. I want it put inside the sandwich on the breAd, he argued with that one too, he told me they would put it on the top, outside the bread!! I said, no I want it inside the sandwich as it cooks. He finally agreed to one of my Reuben requests! This was the only thing done right in the entire order.
For 23.88 I would expect so much more. Trying to make my order exactly as I asked. Needless to say, we were very unhappy with the customer service, the cooking of the food, the taste of the food and the value for my dollars spent! I will never enter that establishment again, and warn all future patrons not to enter either.
If your looking for great diner food, with a decent price tag for the huge amount of food they give you, and live in the milford, west haven, new haven area....you all MUST TRY GEORGIES DINER in west haven. They deliver in west haven too! Try any burger, I promise you won't be disappointed, and there omelette breakfasts are so delicious and filling, and as an appetizer goes....the bacon and cheese potato skins are the best! Don't forget the sour cream on the side! Authentic old diner atmosphere too....waitresses are super nice and accommodating. Enjoy a new diner people, not this old one, where nobody cared about this customer that didn't sit at a booth or counter seat!
