Went to dinner it was excellent met up with new owner Joe.he was quite friendly and told us about renovations being done in September. We will be back. In Oct to check it out.It will be same menu and staff and great hospitality.

My family and I have been going to La Veranda for many many years and for the first time ever we had a horrible experience and will probably never go back, especially for a holiday, such as Christmas Eve. It has been a family tradition to go to La Veranda every Christmas Eve. We always make reservations way in advance, this time over 3 weeks in advance. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation time and checked in. We ended up waiting for an hour and ten minutes and watched as everyone else was brought to a table, specifically all the larger parties. My family is a party of 3. We reminded the host many times of our reservation and he ignored us and sometimes would pretend we weren't even speaking to him. We eventually got seated and were very tired of waiting. When we sat down we noticed how extremely packed the restaurant was. Many other people were complaining about waiting a long time for food. We did wait a while for our food but probably less time than we waited to be seated. The food was not bad but not as great as some previous times. One of our family members asked for a "to go box" for their food and the waiter never returned with it. We then reminded him and he brought back a box with food he claimed was ours but was clearly not ours but someone else's. We ended up throwing it out when we got home. Then to top off the night our waiter messed up our bill by a good $30+. We left very very disappointed and frustrated. The experience was horrible.
