I ordered a large pepperoni pizza with black olives and extra cheese, which was excellent, and I've returned multiple times while visiting family. The New York-style pizza is foldable with plenty of cheese and a great crust, and the staff is always friendly and efficient.

Located in the Blanding Square Plaza (on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Blanding Avenue) in Orange Park, Florida, Vitos has been "Voted Best Pizza" by Florida Times Union readers. Don't know what year(s) but maybe the owner, Sandra D., can tell us. You don't come for the ambiance but it is clean and has a warm and friendly personality that comes from the pizza staff. Their menu is small and limited, keeping the focus on pizzas (12" medium and 16" large) with the dough made daily from an old family recipe. I had the Deluxe Pizza made with fresh ingredients (Pepperoni, Onions, Green Peppers, Mushrooms, Italian Sausage, Extra Cheese). A family owned business, Vitos offers dine-in, carry out & free delivery (limited area) six days a week (closed Sundays). There's a extra $1 charge for those paying by credit card.

This is our new favorite pizza place. Local, just a few ovens (and several people), but great pizza and service. You can even go in for lunch and buy it by the slice, but I recommend getting the largest pizza you can, it tastes great the next day (or morning, if you are into that).

Don't go on Wednesday night, they close early for mid-week church.
