The sandwich I had was absolutely delicious, and the staff members were welcoming and knowledgeable. Stepping into the shop felt like a journey back in time, with its charming retro atmosphere. I would definitely return for another meal, as the experience was truly authentic and memorable.

Absolutely love these hoagies and steaks. Not many sandwich shops in De that hoagies are packed, rolls are good, and staff is friendly and attentive to customers. Plus your in and out!!

Had horrible customer service experience with the young manager Rachel Casapulla on telephone 12/28/22 few minutes ago. I called Hockessin store to advise the provolone cheese sub purchased 12/27 around 4:45pm did not contain enough provolone cheese. I was questioned why I did not call yesterday. I explained the sub was not unwrapped until after 7pm, after store was closed. Rachel was abrupt with me and simply said she was sorry. I told her the Elsmere store makes a better sub, packing the sub with cheese. Rachel's reply was that the Elsmere store charges an average of $3.00 more per sub than the Hockessin store and I was required to bring back the sub to her to have it remade, although that "store policy" is not posted or in writing. When I questioned that remark, she said store policy does not need to be posted. She ended the call by hanging up saying she was busy and to call the Elsmere store. She said all teenagers work in Hockessin. That may be why the sub was not made correctly, no supervision or lack of training. Tried calling Elsmere store but their voice mailbox is full.

I grew up 2 blocks from the Elsmere store. I have eaten subs across this country for over 55 years while serving in the Army and living in 7 states. There is no better Italian sub. My first meal in Delaware coming home from Vietnam was a Casapulla Italian sub. Every time I come to Delaware to visit family, I take home "Travelers" for my wife and I and for our children and their families. Casapulla Italian subs are an Allston family tradition.

We been coming to Caspula's off and on for cheesecakes. breakfast sandwiches and other itms for 12 years as we like to buy local.On Aug. 24 around 3:45 pm my husband who is 70 went to by us a cheesecake and was treated so horrible when he came home he was all unnerved and his blood pressure way up I was afraid he was going to have a stroke or heart attack and 2 hours later he was still so shook up that he could not eat dinner. It was all over that he did not pre-order the cheesecake, He did as she yelled for him to do and take a number and then continued to be rude to him and pointed at him to let her know in advance what he wants which we never had to do before then she walked part way to the back and came to the front and yelled we have we have no cheesecakes. So much for shopping local if that is how Caspula's treats it senior customers. There is a place at the farmer's market that sells Pellman cheesecakes were we will be taking our business and other area diners and stores for sandwiches. And more happy for the sale.

They're close by, the service they give customers is five star. The attitude their staff show customers is just so much more gravy on a great deal. Prices reasonable. Awesome.

I'm from New York , was here on a visit family ordered from casapulla's bragging about how good the food is from this long time delaware deli, I couldn't believe how bad it was italian sub was bland roll a bit hard the street was even named after the place, needless to say nothing to brag about ui think there good days are long gone would have given the rest to the dog but didn't want to make him sick too!👎👎👎

This is the best place to get a Italian sub ever. Anyone who says different has no taste buds or has grown up in a place that puts bologna and cheese on a roll, with Italian dressing, and calls it's a Italian sub.

Go to Capriottis or another sub shop. This place is the worst. I ordered "fresh oven Turkey" and got nasty sliced lunchmeat turkey. The meat on the cheesteak tasted and looked like Steak-um. Don't go here!

Casapulla's makes the greatest Italian Sub that I have ever tasted. My grandmother, Violet Pettijohn, introduced me to Casapullas as a teenager and I can tell that there is no other Italian sub like it. I live in Detroit and my friends always ask, when am I going back to pick some up. I will probably have to get 50+ the next time I go.

Casapullas (Elsmere) is the best.

This was by far the worst italian sub I have ever eaten. After waiting a very long time for my "call in" order to be ready I expected a much better sandwich. The bread was dry like it had been frozen and thawed out, the lunch meat seemed old and the place just seemed very dirty. I will not go back nor will I recommend this place to anyone!

I live in Kansas , I go to Delaware every summer for vacation and the first place I wanna go to is Casapulla's .

I never really understood why my brother and dad would make our family bring some from Delaware to Kansas .. To me a sub is a sub .....ahhh but that was before I tried it .!!!!! My popppop took me there and the place was packed .. After eating my sub I figured out why . Best sub ever !!

My mom used to work there whe she was in high school ... I live that it's been around that long :-)
