Had an amazing meal at Ida's recently! The food was outstanding, especially the eggplant Parmesan and Greek salad. The warm chocolate cake was the perfect ending to a delicious dinner. The staff was super friendly and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Can't wait to go back next year!

I'm from Atlanta and was visiting my sister from Newport. Glares greeted us when we entered the restaurant. When the waitress heard we didn't want any (alcohol) drinks, she sighed and spoke tersely. Our dinners were delicious, but portions were sparse-more like small appetizers. We left-still hungry. We wondered if what appeared to be their attitude stemmed from their assuming that women would be meager tippers, or that we didn't drink alcohol, and the meals alone would not amount to enough of a tip. The chilly reception was almost palpable, and we both left feeling unwanted. Not a pleasant experience!
