Stopped here on our way home from Galilee just before closing. We tried the fish and chips and stuffed chicken parm, which were both delicious. The service from Sybil was friendly and attentive, making our dining experience enjoyable. The Heath bar ice cream cake is a must-try dessert here.

If you are a Swamper or a wannabe Swamper, the Homestead is the place for you. It is old school Yankee dining at its best. My old South County family has eaten there for generations (Clarks and Potters). Unpretentious and delicious.

the employees look alike because they are from the same family, the homestead is family owned and operated. Also the specials board does tell the customers that sweet potato fries are an additional 1.50.

why does everyone who works there look alike? i know this is exeter, but really...!

If you get a sandwich that comes with fries and they ask if you like sweet potatoe fries instead watch out when you get they bill they do not tell you it is $1.50 for each plate addtional. At the very least let the customer know or post on your menu. Unfair. I would of just had regular fries.

Good family style menu. Family atmosphere....
Food is great especially the Dry Rub Rib special.
Service is excellent. My husband and I eat there
