A friend and I visited a charming cafe for a leisurely morning meal. We both tried the Walter's breakfast sandwich paired with a coffee drink. While the sandwich was satisfying, I found it somewhat lacking in flavor given the ingredients used. Despite this, the cafe's relaxed ambiance and varied menu options make it a place worth revisiting.

A friend had wanted to try this restaurant for lunch so three of us arrived about 12:30 on a Wednesday. It was busy and noisy. We did not know you had to order up front, pay, and pay the tip before they placed your order. Our wish for a leisurely quiet lunch with wine was out the window. We did not see a wine list but saw others drinking out of strange tulip shaped glasses so we passed on the wine. Only one waitress was seen taking food to the tables. We did not order anything complicated- just salads and a soup. No one brought us water or anything but after I was told to help myself to water, someone did appear with a plastic glass of water with ice. After about 25 minutes our order came. The salads were skimpy, very few veggies, fruit, etc, and no bread , croutons or anything extra. Nothing special. One friend asked for some potato chips and some were provided in a tiny bowl. The prices were not inexpensive-$12 for a small salad I had no trouble consuming. The owner did apologize for the wait and had promised the food would be excellent but it wasn't and I will not be returning.
