On Thurs March 30, my husband, 2 other friends and myself ate yet again at Palermo's in Midlothian VA.
This is the first time out of 3 other times that I have been very dissatisfied with my meal and our service. It was unusually busy, but there is no excuse how my meal was served to me. I ordered the grilled eggplant with portobello mushrooms. Right away I saw that the mushrooms were burnt to black and charred. What chef would let this leave his kitchen like that. What server, no matter how busy, would serve a burnt dish? I had also ordered a side dish which cost extra, angel hair with tomato sauce. I asked 3 people, even the owner for that dish. After asking 3 people, the pasta came, but without the sauce. Again I asked for sauce and had to wave down our waiter for the sauce and to report about the burnt portobello mushrooms. He did say to me yes they were burnt and asked me if I wanted more. By the time I received the refreshed mushrooms and pasta sauce, everyone at my table had finished. Sorry to say I wasn't happy and would have felt satisfied with a complementary meal or reimbursement for my not so stalker meal and service. No excuse for a top notch restaurant!

lost me as a customer when we saw the manager approach a nearby table actually during the family's meal to talk her costs associated with an order of mozzarella sticks.
well, it's going to costs her a whole lot more than the $10 appetizer plate

Worst service from the owner/ manager ! I will start off by saying Tayler, the sever, was amazing. However the owner was awful and confrontational. My son ordered the mozzarella sticks they were gross and I over cooked . We send them back. The sever said she couldn't have it removed from my bill. I said not a problem but I think that's awful as he took 1 bite. I said it was bad business but it's ok. The owner comes to the table in a very confrontational manner. Asking me why it's bad business and how it costs her money. I told her I would like to enjoy my meal. She made a stink over $10. She lost me as a customer and I will continue to spread the word as to how tacky and rude she was to interrupt my family dinner to tell me that it cost her money.
