Wanted to support local business and made reservations for a birthday dinner. I guess I was assuming the ultimate fine dining experience as this is a chop house with very high prices. I will pay for atmosphere, experience and food but NOT a name. Zachary's was such a disappointment - the cod dish was very bland. The gentlemen had lamb lolli chops and steak and found it to be good. The menu had baked stuff and steamed lobster at MP (market price) - sure no problem. I ordered the $40 seafood casserole dish and was charged an additional money because lobster was part of the meal - NO disclosure on the menu it would change due to MP. I said what **** I am here for a dining experience. Food was good and only ate 1/2 my meal, the waitress asked if would like to pack up the other 1/2, I said yes. She handed us the bill and no left overs, I asked about my meal and was told she threw it out - WHAT it was 1/2 the meal. She looked shocked did nothing about it, said sorry and walked away. My thoughts exactly - I walked away and WILL NEVER GO BACK. Not worth the experience, go to Hanover Chop House in Manchester -consistently delicious with great customer service.

If theirs 1 place I would recommend for a perfect date, it's Zachary's... whether it's a first date or your 50 year anniversary this is the place to go!
