I've been a loyal customer at Golden Star for decades, ever since I was a young'un. The fried fish with brown dressing is a must-try, and I don't mind the 40-mile drive one bit. The menu offers a mix of Chinese, Mexican, and American dishes, but my go-to will always be the classic Chinese fare served generously in to-go boxes. The friendly service and comforting atmosphere make each visit feel like a trip back to simpler times.

Guys, if you all are thinking this place is like back in the 60's,70's or even 80's, you will be sadly disappointed . It starts wil a guard outside with a unfriendly attitude, another inside directing traffic with a thermometer , front row of booths taped off with police tape, the front counter is littered with junk and trash,3 waitresses serving really downgraded food from the days of the carnival, remember? And to top it off, they serve you in styrofoam as if they want you out of there. The front door you come in and they have an "exit" sign on the side door to get out. It is so bad the original owner in the picture in back of the cashier has his hands covering his eyes......you will ,too.
