I've been a Borrego local for 5 years now and frequent the area often, and one spot that stands out is Jilbertos. The overall food scene in Borrego is quite satisfying, despite what some may say based on a single experience. Whether it's the hearty huevos rancheros for breakfast or the flavorful al pastor burrito plate for lunch or dinner, there's a variety of tasty options to enjoy.

Just a few years ago they sold huge delicious burritos for $3.50, and their salsa a use to be good too. Now they sell you a tiny burrito for $7.50!, and no, that's not normal inflation rates. They just caved in to greed and now gouge customers because they know you will pay anything once you get all the way out here. I suggest going to Pablitos instead. They have excellent food, a nice seating area, and prices are more reasonable for what you get.
