Dee Jay's in North Scranton is a long-standing institution known for its delicious wings and hot wing hoagies. The place has a cozy Mom & Pop vibe, and I always make sure to swing by whenever I'm in the area for a tasty treat.

The food is always excellent and fast service. However, the girl taking the orders on the phone needs a very serious attitude adjustment, she is the poster child for RUDE !!!!!!!!!! 0 percent phone etiquette

Just ordered 3 trays with mushroom, and the person on the phone was pleasant and nice. I love their pizza and it was cheaper than when we order from Domino's or Pizza Hut! Yep. 5 STAR from me and my family. :)

I recently to North side Scranton, and asked Siri for 'food delivery near me; she suggested Dee Jay's. I'm impressed. For less then the price of a large pizza delivered by Domino's, they sent over two big deli sandwiches and two large appetizers of fresh tasting, flavorful food. (That' s the problem with pizza, even if it's great, every bite tastes the same.) The woman on the phone was perfectly courteous and helpful and the delivery fella was personable as well as speedy on icy roads. They got a pleased customer in me!

I love their wings and cheesefries and gravy....Also their texas weiners ...I don't know, I've called here on several occassions to have an order delivered and the lady was fine to me....But i worked as a caterer and it not easy...so you may be confusing tired with rude...its not an easy job. I have had no problems at all with them on the phone or off the phone...and they use mayonaise not salad dressing or Miracle whip which is fantastic to me.....

Food was very good but prices on the Internet menu must be old because my order should have been 20.00 but when I picked the order up it was 25.50

I have to agree with everyone else, the customer service sucks. Even when you call and are nothing but polite, they still treat you like a piece of crap. They're wings honestly are the best around, which is the only reason they receive business from anyone. It's not that I have a problem waiting an hour and a half for my order, but TELL people it will be that long. Don't quote "45 minutes" when you know it will not be. And as far as that one person saying she knows that heavy lady, and she's only rude when she has to be, I call shenanigans. She's miserable from the moment she answers the phone. And I'm STILL polite, even though she speaks to me as if she does not need, nor want, my business. If you do not like your job, don't take it out on the customers, who are paying your salary, just quit. She's vile. But, if you do want decent wings, don't mind waiting over an hour for delivery and can deal with being treated horribly, this is the place for you.

The staff there are so ignorant and nasty I'm surprised no one went there to slap them yet the food is good but not worth the attitude like its a problem that someone is ordering if they don't like it they should just close and the big lady seriously needs an attitude check you just don't run a business like that I waitress and if I was ever as rude and nasty as them I would be fired so fast! Quit if you don't like your job :)

Yeah, the food is pretty good but that fat lady sucks! I was considering ordering there today but after looking for an online menu and stumbling upon these reviews, I changed my mind. I will probably NEVER order from there again. Fatty needs an attitude check!

The food is good but the customer service is terrible and the large lady that works there is extremely rude, if you hate your job that much you should quit, it is very dirty, Im shocked the place hasn't been shut down. I would have rated 4 stars if it wasn't for how rude they are, they make you not wanna go back.

The food is amazing but everytime I call and get that miserable lady that is so incredibly rude it makes me not want to order! I've been ordering from there for years and my only complaint is that lady! They need to give her a crash course on how to be nice! And for the person that said she is her friend and she can be rude if she wants to, please remind her that is her job! She gets paid to work just like the rest of us! I know if I were rude like that to people id be fired! They need to get rid of her! She gives that place a bad name!

For whoever wrote the review above your full of $H!T Dee Jays is the best around & that " large lady" happens to be a good friend of mine, she will get nasty with you if she has to other than that the customer service is AWESOME along with the food :) I would recommend Dee Jays to anyone, so far it's the ONLY place who can make wings the way I like it even out beats the Windsor! Call & find out for yourself :) thanks!

This place has decent food, but their staff(specifically the old heavy lady) & customer service is HORRIBLE. I placed an order for delivery, & after waiting an hour.. I called down only to have the phone answered rudely "It'll be there in 2 seconds" and was hung up on. After waiting another 15 minutes with no food, I called down again only to be give more of an attitude. I told the ignorant lady that answered the phone, if they would have said it was going to be over an hour, that I could of been asked to just come & pick it up, only to be told "Don't Call Here Again!" & then was hung up on again. I order delivery so I don't have to be reminded how DIRTY the place is inside.

Is this how you run a business? If it was looked at, it could be noted that we used to order from Dee Jay's twice a week, if not more. After today, I'll be telling everyone I know to NEVER order from there again & writing bad reviews on every online site I can find.
