Upon seating us the waiter advised us the best way to order was 'family style', everyone order a dish and share them in the middle. From the moment we expressed that we preferred to order individually we were treated with total contempt. Unfortunately the dinner was organized by someone else, had it been up to me I would have walked out the door at that point. Instead I endured being ignored, poor food and not once was anyone asked how their food was, even though I barely touched my dinner and others left their plates half eaten. Is this what happens when an 18% gratuity is automatically added when a party of over 8 dines? The server can be rude and still get a good tip?
When we asked for the bill to be divided into couples we were told that they do not do that. The maximum number of bills they would do is 3. When I spoke to the manager she informed me that that was the policy and that she wished that someone had asked ahead regarding the billing. Surely if Denny's can split up billing, a $$$$$ establishment could do the same. When I spoke to her regarding the abysmal service she felt it more important to argue with me than to listen to my concerns.
I can not state strongly enough the frustration and anger this dining experience created for me. I would strongly discourage anyone from going to LULU.
