So, I saw some not-so-great reviews about this place, but I really enjoy it. Can't really compare it to anywhere else nearby, except maybe those Cherry Blossom Takoyaki balls, but I can never deal with those long lines. Anyways, we hit up the ferry building for lunch and then decided to grab some balls around 1:15 pm. Waited about 10 minutes for our order, which cost $4 for 6 pieces. Kinda bummed out when I read other reviews saying they got 8 pieces for $5. But hey, at least 10% of the sales go to the Japanese Red Cross, so that's cool. Finally got our takoyaki balls, and they were hot! Asked for toothpicks instead of forks to be more eco-friendly. Walked back to the office to let them cool off - about a 10-15 minute walk. They were delicious, but not as good as the ones I had in Kyoto, but hey, it's Japan, can't really compare. They were a bit pricey due to the exchange rate, but tasty nonetheless. The people there were friendly, so I'll definitely be back. Planning to try every booth at the ferry building on Tuesdays and Thursdays and then grab some takoyaki balls for the office. Yum! Oh, by the way, I'm part Japanese, but I probably eat more Mexican food. Loving the food scene here, but I might gain a few extra pounds with all these options.
