I remember the first time I stepped into this classic diner with its black and white checkered floor and friendly waitresses who call you "Sugar." It reminded me of the diners in small towns where everyone knows each other, just like on TV. The whole Sheriff's department was there, sitting at the back table, adding to the unique charm of the place. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, despite the pouring rain outside, and the food was hearty and delicious, making it a memorable dining experience.

We got there at 730pm yes 30 mins before closing but we wanted specials that we know are already cooked ready to go!! Meatloaf, green beans, black eyed peas and salad times 3 orders the staff was so put out we were even there.. they were wiping down clean tables!!! Doing everything they could to get us to leave which we probably should have. The waitress finally comes slams the silverware down doesn't even set it out to each person just puts it in the middle of the table. Ask very irritated what we wanted to drink and when we gave her our drink order we said we can order so we don't keep y'all after closing and she states you got that right. So unprofessional in my opinion! We get our food in 5mins which was pretty good. We ate and we were out of there in our car by 753pm. And older couple came in at 745 and ask the man at the register who by the way does absolutely nothing doesn't greet anyone doesn't do anything anyway she ask the man are y'all open he would have done better to say no!! He tells her yes if you want pie and she says that all we want. Again no one comes to them she finally tells a waitress all we want is pie. They tried to order coffee and tea with their pie to drink and were told no bc it was all shut down. The nice elderly lady ask what time they closed bc she didn't know the waitress says 8 but we shut the grills down at 745"¦ those poor older people should have never been treated like that!! We were all made to feel like we were inconvenience well this day in age and the way things are going we can take our inconvenience some where else! The whole staff needs to go to the youree drive location and learn how to do things and how to treat people!!! We usually drive all the way from Benton to that one and if we could have made it in time to that one we would have bypassed this one like we normally do. Shame on us for thinking we could run in and order specials that are already made. And it's not like we don't tip well we still tipped over 20% of what our bill was!!! This place would be better off to close earlier than treat people like this since they shut everything down early anyway.. and yes my husband and I have both worked in the restaurant world and both waited tables and yes we would get aggravated at people coming in last minute but we never treated people the way they way they did tonight!!!!
