We love this place. We moved here 3 years ago and eat there a few times a month. We have eaten at the other Mexican restaurants in the area and we always decide that this one is our favorite. The food is always better. I do have certain servers that I prefer. Over all it is a good value.

I normally love this restaurant, however I recently went there with a friend and the server who was too interested in reading her book at an opposite table did not help when we informed her that the taco salad that my friend ordered had onions in it and she was allergic to onions. She said everything has onions in it and did not offer another choice. Then the manager came and took the taco salad and said he was sorry that she can't eat it. What the heck is wrong with the staff. They do not pre make everything with onions in it but instead of making her something new she just decided not to eat in fear that the unhelpful staff with their attitude would do something to her food if she tried to order anything else. I wanted to enjoy a meal with my friend. That did not happen. I wont be going back.

This is a typical Mexican restaurant. La Ha, as they are colloquially known 'round here (they have some seven, or more, locations in the Charleston, SC area) is the place to go when you need a spark of Mexican food. Sure, there are others, but none are as consistent as La Ha. La Ha is nothing flashy; nothing spectacular. However, I have never had a bad meal there after some four dozen visits over the past five years.
And, a bonus- they truly do take-out very well! They pack everything with care and it is as perfect as can be when you get back to work or home.
If they had more interesting daily specials, I would give them five stars.
